Section 06
π Verses 11β13 β The Lament for the King of Tyre
Moreover the word of YHWH came to me, saying:
βSon of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him,
βThus says The Almighty YHWH:
You were the seal of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
You were in Eden, the garden of The Almighty;
every precious stone was your coveringβ¦ββ
Note:
The tone shifts β no longer addressing a mortal prince but the spiritual pattern behind him.
Heβs portrayed as a cherub, once glorious and radiant β imagery that parallels ha-ΕΔαΉΔn, the celestial being who fell through pride.
The βEdenβ reference symbolizes the height of beauty and favor before The Almighty.
Trade brought every treasure to Tyre β its luxury mirrored Edenβs abundance, but without Edenβs innocence.
