The matter of keeping the weekly Shabath and the appointed times of Yahwah (His muaydim) is definitely an issue of righteousness. Keeping Yahwah's weekly Shabath and other muaydim according to His word is an issue of obedience, and whether or not we are carefully hedging them about is not an issue to be established by tradition.....but by the scriptural testimony of the word of Yahwah.

So, let's now establish the reckoning of Yahwah's muaydim upon the testimony of scriptural witnesses to establish how Yahwah intends His muaydim to be reckoned......

Barashayath (Genesis) 1:14-16

14 Then Alahim said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be (Heb. "Hayah" - "exist") for signs (Heb. "Awarath" - "signals") and seasons (Heb. "Muaydim" - "appointed times"), and for days and years; 15 and let them be (Heb. "Hayah" - "exist") for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so. 16 And Alahim made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light (the yarakh - the visible lesser light) to rule the night, the stars also.

The word "light" is derived from the Hebrew word "awar", the plural being "awarath"; thus visible lights that we see. Not merely just one that physically exists out there, but one that we can see.....a visible luminary. Yahwah said "let there be awarath, (visible luminaries) in the firmament of the heavens, to divide the days from the nights and let them exist for signals and appointed times......" The word "season" in the KJV translation is derived from the Hebrew word "muayd", which is literally translated "appointment" or more accurately, "appointed time". In the Hebrew language the "im" as a suffix denotes the masculine plural. In this passage the underlying Hebrew word that is translated "seasons" is "muaydim", which is more accurately rendered, "appointed times". The word "seasons" appears to connote changes in weather, while not referring to Yahwah's set appointed times.......Let's re-read that with a more accurate translation: "And then Alahim said, 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the days from the nights, existing for signals and appointed times and for days and for years.'" The word "days" is the Hebrew word "yamim". It is a form of the word "yawam" (day), and refers to the multiple of the day/night combination (the cycle of one "calendar day"), where the Hebrew word "yawamim" refers to multiple daylight only periods (we will examine these two variations more thoroughly later in our study). Continuing with verses 15 & 16........."existing as lights in the firmament of the heavens, to give light on the earth and it was so. And Alahim made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night, the stars also."

We can see from the scripture above that the yarakh, as the lesser light that rules the night, exists for signaling, giving light on the earth and for Yahwah's muaydim (appointed times).......
